Getting Involved

Student Affairs provides endless opportunities for our students to become leaders on the Carolina campus and in the global community. Student involvement has shaped Carolina since its founding. Each person that invests in the university plays a part in who we are as an institution but also who we will become. The programs and services offered by each of our departments encompass the areas of Student Life, Health & Wellness, Diversity, and Leadership & Service.

Students should seek opportunities to get involved from any one the Student Affairs departments such as Campus Recreation, Carolina Leadership Development or Department of Housing and Residential Education. There are also more than 600 student organizations on campus for students to get involved.

Whether your interest are social, academic, cultural, advocacy, or political the group probably exists and if it doesn’t, UNC also offers you the chance to start the group. For more information on campus organizations, visit http://studentlife.unc.edu.
