Week of Welcome 2018

Returning students and the new students were all welcomed back with Week of Welcome activities and events! The weekend kicked off with Chancellor Folt and Vice Chancellor Crisp assisting with move-ins on Saturday across campus, followed by New Student Convocation in Carmichael Arena and and Fall Fest on  Hooker Fields on Sunday. Convocation invites transfer students and first-year students of the Class of 2022 to join Chancellor  Folt and distinguished guests in a ceremony marking their beginning as a Tar Heel. Hosted by the Carolina Union and now in its 22nd year, FallFest has become an important tradition at the Carolina by providing an engaging, safe, and alcohol-free event that introduces new and returning students to the many opportunities to get involved in campus life through student organizations academic departments and campus recreation.
