Tar Heel Top Five

The Tar Heel Top Five is designed to keep Carolina's students informed about must-know activities and events on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus. Follow us on Instagram to find these highlights in our stories. Here's our top five for August 12-16, 2024:

1. Move-in/Week of Welcome — Welcome new and returning Tar Heels to our community; look for two weeks of programs, events, and special opportunities all geared to welcome you to Carolina, help you learn about your new home, and get you connected to other new students.
2. Good Neighbor Initiative —  a partnership among the University, the towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro, and several community organizations — is here to help strengthen the connections between Carolina students and long-time residents to help Tar Heels thrive in off-campus housing.
3. Part-Time Job Fair — Hosted by University Career Services
4. New Student Convocation — All incoming, transfer and class of ’28 students are invited to attend New Student Convocation, a tradition hosted by University Events, and New Student Parent and Family Programs, to commemorate the start of your time here at Carolina. 
5. FallFest — This beloved Carolina tradition kicks off the new school year as a fun welcome back to campus for new and returning Tar Heels alike.
