Student Org Spotlight: Chapel Heelz

Our next student org is Chapel Heelz! Learn more about them from our interview of a Chapel Heelz member: 

1. What is Chapel Heelz all about?  
   Chapel Heelz is all about creating a safe space for our troupe AND audience members to be their sexy queer selves! We are all about creative expression through queer identity which catalyzes in many different ways depending on the performer.

2. How do you help students?  
   Chapel Heelz welcomes all students to get involved on-stage or back-stage, whichever they prefer the most. We also happily welcome those into the audience who just want to give their moral (or financial) support! This allows us to show students the world of drag in all its amazing creative sexy goodness, but also to show them that a diverse community of unapologetically queer people exists at UNC.

3. What do you like most about being a part of Chapel Heelz?  
   I love the family we have here. Everyone is looking out for each other and there is absolutely zero judgment.
4. Any upcoming shows to look out for?
   We have many shows coming up soon which can be found on our Instagram!

2. How can students get involved?  
   We have club meetings every Fridays in the Union as well as an Instagram where you can DM us for the groupme invite! Quite literally anyone interested can join as a performer or someone involved more technically. We also just appreciate fans coming to shows as well!
