Lauren Jurgensen of Rocky Point, North Carolina graduated from Heide Trask High School. Lauren was the Drum Major of Marching Band for three years and led a club advocating for the social and educational inclusion of students with special needs. Lauren is a first-year at UNC who plans to double major in Anthropology and Russian. Lauren works with Boomering as her Bonner community partner where she spends much of her time tutoring middle and high school students in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro area.
