Worley’s Cave Overnight

April 18 @ 7:00 am - 9:00 am
Worley’s Cave Overnight

Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure deep into the heart of the earth! This trip will consist of a backcountry camping night near the mouth of Worley’s (without access to running water/electricity), as well as a full day of caving wherein our student guides will take you into Worley’s Cave, one of the most spectacular yet easily navigable caves in the Southeast! We will bring our own light sources and will have lots of room to explore to the extent that the group is comfortable. Our experienced student guides are very familiar with this cave system, which receives regular visitation from cavers around the country. They will teach lessons in cave navigation as well as how to respect the delicate cave environment. Worley’s is known for its grandiose open chambers – there won’t be anywhere where you are forced to crawl through tight passageways unless you choose to. Creek stomp through underground rivers, observe wildlife endemic to the cave ecosystem, learn about the history and geology of the area, and meet new people in an otherworldly sensory environment.
