Pilot Mountain Climbing

Join us for a day of outdoor sport and top-rope climbing at Pilot Mountain! Suited for a variety of skill levels, Pilot is a standout hotspot for outdoor climbing in the Piedmont. We can set routes attuned to all skill levels within the group, and our staff will teach lessons on anchor building, rock site management, and other aspects of outdoor climbing. If you are new to climbing, registration for this trip will grant you free registration for an intro to climbing class at the climbing wall on campus – after registering for this trip, please reach out to the Expeditions coordinator expeditions@unc.edu if you’d like a promo code to use for the class!

Your trip fee covers transportation, trip leader instruction and support, all meals and snacks for the duration of the trip, and activity-specific gear (excluding personal clothing and footwear).
