- Dec. 7 – Give back by donating blood at the Carolina Holiday Blood Drive at Fetzer Hall.
- Dec. 7 — Presented in partnership with American Dance Festival, Duke Arts and NC State LIVE, LOVETRAIN2020 is a choreographic ode to the sound and vibe of the 80s. $10 UNC-Chapel Hill, American Dance Festival, Duke University and NC State University student tickets available with valid student ID.
- Dec. 9 – Winter Blues: Tips for Self-Care during the Holiday Season, hosted by CAPS for Carolina international students at 1 p.m. at the Campus Health – Health Education Conference Room 233.
- Dec. 16 — Carolina Public Humanities is teaming up with the Ackland Art Museum to explore the beauty of the natural world and the dynamic, multifaceted aspects of humanity during the Dutch Golden Age.
- Through Dec. 21 — Visit the DeBerry Gallery at the North Carolina Botanical Garden. Currently on display is an exhibit of mixed media works and prints by five North Carolina artists called “Symbiosis.”
- Through Dec. 22 — Visitors to the exhibition in the North Carolina Gallery can view 63 photos and original 24 documents in the exhibition “We Birthed the Movement: The Warren County PCB Landfill Protests, 1978-1982.”
Every year, the Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau posts their list of Festive Holiday Events in Chapel Hill & Orange County, and this year the list includes a “winter wonderland with goats!”

- Enjoy movement in nature by visiting the Carolina North Forest, or the Botanical Gardens near campus.
- Get your heart rate up with virtual on-demand fitness classes from Campus Rec including pilates, dance, yoga, H.I.I.T. and more.
Well-being
This seasonal whirlwind can also bring up challenges such as stress, loneliness, anxiety and depression. With some slight shifts in your behavior, you may be able to minimize your stress, while creating a supportive environment that centers on wellbeing. Health Care and Mental Health Support
Campus Health and CAPS will be open weekdays through Dec. 23 but closed from Dec. 24 – Jan. 2. Any time Campus Health or CAPS are closed, patients can receive 24/7 support by calling 919-966-2281 for UNC Nurse Connect and on-call providers and 919-966-3658 for CAPS 24/7.
