Friends, colleagues and former students recently gathered to wish Winston Crisp a grand farewell at his retirement celebration after more than 26 years with the university and more than eight as Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. “I will always be grateful for my Carolina experience, and for the blessing of working for and with you all, Crisp said in a message to staff. ” You have given me a chance to pursue my dreams, find a home, and to serve my alma mater. I am grateful to you all beyond measure. Thank you again for the meaningful relationships and for your deep and abiding love for Carolina and our students.”
Crisp was recently pegged to deliver the University’s 2018 winter Commencement address on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2 p.m., in the Dean E. Smith Center.“I am humbled by the opportunity to be this year’s winter Commencement speaker and consider it an honor and privilege,” said Crisp to the University Gazette. “I am looking forward to it tremendously.”
