Campus will have noticeably reduced operations. Those with nearby alternatives are encouraged to consider staying off campus until conditions improve.
Prepare ahead of time
Make sure you have:
- Non-perishable food and water to last for a few days. The Carolina Food Pantry Network location in SASB North will be open until 6 p.m. on Friday, January 23 for any last-minute needs
- Medications you may need
Keep yourself and your space warm
- Layer up with blankets and sweaters
- Close blinds to help hold heat

- Open cabinet doors and let faucets drip if you live off campus
- Limit opening exterior doors

Dining and transit
- Dining hall hours and menu offerings will limited depending on staffing and weather conditions. Plan ahead by checking Carolina Dining Services.
- Personal vehicular traffic on campus may be restricted or prohibited during periods of time. Public transit may pause or experience significant service disruptions. Check Chapel Hill Transit for the latest updates.
- Some services and facilities may operate on modified schedules depending on weather severity.
