SALT Mentorship Program

SALT Mentorship Program

The Student Affairs Leadership Team (SALT) Mentorship Program offers an opportunity for entry- to mid-level staff members who aren't already in a leadership role (“mentees”) to be matched with a SALT volunteer for an approximately one-year mentor/mentee relationship. This mentorship opportunity is designed not to duplicate or circumvent any supervisory relationship: mentees will only be matched with mentors who work outside their Student Affairs department.

Once matched, SALT Mentors/Mentee teams would frame the specific goals and logistics of their partnership, including how often they meet. Ideally, mentors and mentees would connect for at least one to two hours per month.

Availability of Mentors and Application Process

For 2023, we have approximately 15 mentee spots. If you are interested in being considered for a SALT Mentee role, please complete the brief online application below by Wednesday, Jan. 18.  Mentees will be notified the week of Jan. 23 regarding whether they have been accepted and matched with a SALT Mentor.
