Kalton Tate of Chapel Hill is a graduate of East Chapel Hill High School and is pursuing a degree in Media and Journalism at UNC. Karlton works with the nonprofit Empowerment to address housing inequity and promote community building in Chapel Hill’s Northside and Pine Knolls neighborhoods. Karlton was an editor of East Chapel Hill High School’s student newspaper, and currently writes for the Daily Tar Heel at UNC.
