Mixed Methods Learning Series: Writing Effective Mixed Methods Research Proposals

Mixed methods offer powerful approaches to research addressing complex questions across disciplines.  Writing compelling mixed-methods proposals requires more than simply combining qualitative and quantitative components. Successful proposals are written with clear methodological justification, strong data integration plans, and coherent alignment across aims, design, sampling, analysis, and interpretation.

This workshop provides earlycareer scholars, postdoctoral fellows, and investigators across disciplines with practical guidance on developing competitive mixed-methods research proposals. Participants will learn how to craft proposals that demonstrate methodological rigor, conceptual clarity, and meaningful integration across data types.

This workshop is ideal for pre and postdoctoral trainees, junior faculty, and investigators in public health, nursing, medicine, social sciences, education, psychology, and related fields who are preparing grant applications or seeking to strengthen their mixed-methods skill set.

Registration and fee are required to receive Zoom link. Zoom link and welcome packet will be emailed shortly before the event for those registered. Attendance is required as no sessions will be recorded. Early Bird Registration pricing is available until 7/14/26.
