Data Matters: Introduction to Statistical Machine Learning Using R
Sponsored by the UNC Chapel Hill Odum Institute, Data Matters™ is a week-long series of intensive one and two-day online courses aimed at students and professionals in business, research, and government.
This course is intended for researchers who have some knowledge of statistics and would like to be introduced to statistical machine learning and data science as well as for practitioners who would like to apply statistical machine learning techniques to their problems. Machine learning plays an increasingly significant role in data science and AI, and has become an integral part of many fields—from biomedicine to business/marketing to social media. It is grounded directly in our daily lives.
Registration and fee are required to receive Zoom link. Zoom link and welcome packet will be emailed shortly before the event for those registered. Attendance is required as no sessions will be recorded.
