Your Next Move: The Career Competencies Symposium

Students in the College of Arts & Sciences—including the Humanities, Fine Arts, Social Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, Natural Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Interdisciplinary Studies—are invited to an exciting evening of networking and career exploration in the Carolina Union Great Hall. Beginning at 3:30 PM, this interactive event connects you with Carolina alumni and employers from a variety of industries who are eager to share their experiences, offer career advice, and help you build your professional network.

 

Discover how the knowledge and transferable skills you are developing in the classroom translate into meaningful careers. Whether you’re exploring career options, preparing for internships, or planning for life after graduation, this event is an opportunity to strengthen the career competencies employers value most while making connections that can support your future.

 

The event will feature a special keynote speaker, a student-moderated alumni panel, and networking roundtables where you can engage directly with alumni and employers in meaningful conversations about career paths, workplace skills, and professional success.

Food, refreshments, and special giveaways will be available throughout the evening. While the event is designed with Arts & Sciences students in mind, all UNC students are welcome to attend.
