Reflections on a Career as an Aerospace Physiologist : Christi Opresko

Join us to welcome Christianne Opresko for an IN PERSON event!

Christi Opresko, Lieutenant Colonel, USAF (Ret.), is the Director of Research Operations at Divers Alert Network (DAN). A senior Aerospace Physiologist with more than 20 years of experience, her career has spanned aircrew training, aviation safety, human factors, research, and Air Force operations policy. She commissioned as a second lieutenant in 2004 through Air Force ROTC at the University of Georgia, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She later earned a master’s degree in Health Promotion with an emphasis in Sports Performance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Prior to joining DAN, Christi served as the Aerospace Physiology Senior Research Advisor in the Air and Space Biosciences Division at the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Today, she applies her experience in human performance, research, and operational leadership to advance DAN’s research mission and improve diver health and safety.

She will share important lessons learned in her aerospace medicine career, as well as advice for students hoping to make an impact in this field.

We can’t wait to see you there!
