HallowBeAM: Sew Your Own Bag

It’s spooky season at BeAM! Learn how to use the vinyl cutter and sewing machines at BeAM to create your own decorated bag.  

To guarantee your spot in this workshop, reserve a seat through the BeAM Coworks app – you will need to search for the specific day/time of the session you want to attend. Find out more about Coworks at the bottom of the BeAM Training page:  https://beam.unc.edu/trainings/.  

PLEASE NOTE: 

• Want this workshop to count as your Industrial Vinyl and/or Sewing Machine trainings? Make sure to complete the corresponding Canvas quizzes before you arrive. 

• This is a low-capacity workshop, and the first 10 people to RSVP are guaranteed spots. However, if you have a reserved seat, you must arrive at least 5 minutes before the workshop begins to keep your reservation.  

• Weren’t able to snag a reserved seat in Coworks? You can try to show up 10-15 minutes before the workshop’s start time and we will add you to our first-come, first-serve waitlist. 5 minutes before the workshop starts, we will begin filling empty spots with people off the waitlist in the order that they arrived at the makerspace.  

• Workshop will start promptly at the listed time. Due to safety restrictions, users will not be admitted once the session has begun. At the end of the workshop, there will be a CLE QR code available for participants to scan. If you have questions, please email beam@unc.edu for help.
