Grayson Highlands Backpacking

Join us for an overnight trip to Grayson Highlands, our favorite destination

in the Southeast for hiking and backpacking! Known for its naturalized free-roaming ponies and high-elevation, panoramic views, Grayson Highlands is perfect for both new and experienced backpackers alike. As a group, we will hike the main loop trail in the park, completing between 12-14 miles over the course of both days. Along the way, we’ll teach a number of backcountry camping skills, such as trail navigation, cooking with camp stoves, fire-building, and more.
