Grayson Highlands Backpacking

Join us for a weekend of backpacking in the mountains of Southwest Virginia! This trip will be a challenging but approachable introduction to backcountry camping and hiking. We’ll hike through temperate rainforest and among high-elevation balds with stunning views and grazing ponies in Grayson Highlands State Park and Mount Rogers State Natural Area. You’ll get to meet new people in an engaged setting, learn new skills, and enjoy one of the most spectacular places to go backpacking in the Southeast.
