Dr. Samantha Pattenden, CCA Guest Speaker Meeting (10/7)

Join us on Wednesday, October 7 from 6–7 PM in Murphey 116 to hear from Dr. Samantha Pattenden, Associate Professor in UNC’s Eshelman School of Pharmacy.

 

Dr. Pattenden studies how DNA is packaged and regulated by proteins, and how changes in these processes can contribute to cancer. Her research focuses on understanding these molecular changes to help identify new cancer biomarkers and potential targets for treatment. Her own experience with cancer has also given her a unique personal connection to the field and to the patients who ultimately benefit from this important research.
