Deep Reading Club: Plato's Crito (Free Book!)

Join us for an evening of reading Plato’s Crito together.

Socrates is in prison awaiting execution when his friend Crito arrives with a plan to help him escape. We will read passages aloud and puzzle through the questions the dialogue raises about civil disobedience, our obligation to obey the law, and whether it is ever right to answer one wrong with another.

No preparation or prior experience is required. All attendees receive a free copy of the book, and pizza will be provided.
