Data Matters: Introduction to Python

Sponsored by the UNC Chapel Hill Odum Institute, Data Matters™ is a week-long series of intensive one and two-day online courses aimed at students and professionals in business, research, and government.

This two-day course is designed to provide a practical, accessible entry point into modern programming. Participants will learn the fundamentals of Python and the basics of coding. The course is ideal for individuals who have never coded before, those with experience in other programming languages who want to transition to Python, and anyone seeking a clear, up-to-date refresher on core coding concepts. By the end of the course, learners will have the confidence to read, write, and modify simple Python programs and a solid foundation of data processing and analysis.

Registration and fee are required to receive Zoom link. Zoom link and welcome packet will be emailed shortly before the event for those registered. Attendance is required as no sessions will be recorded.
