Cane Creek Mountains Hike and Picnic

Join us during weeks of welcome for a group hike and picnic! Departing from the Outdoor Education Center on campus, we’ll drive together to Cane Creek Mountains Natural Area, which houses a newly constructed trail system and lookout tower on top of a monadnock mountain. We’ll split into two smaller groups for the hike, with one group hiking the more rigorous Northern Approach trail and the other group hiking the gentler Lookout trail, but we’ll meet up together for a relaxed lunch at the lookout point. Along the way, we’ll talk about the history and ecology of the area, and create intentional opportunities for everyone to get to know each other.
