A College Student’s Guide to SNAP

Did you know college students may be eligible for monthly benefits to help purchase groceries? The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), known as Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) in North Carolina, can help college students access nutritious foods and achieve their academic potential.

This webinar will help North Carolina college students learn more about SNAP, including eligibility criteria, how to apply, and where and what benefits can be used to purchase. Students will also learn more about additional resources for North Carolina College Students about SNAP, including a brief eligibility screener.

This webinar is hosted by NC College Food Benefits, which is a SNAP outreach Partner of the NC Department of Health and Human Services led by the Carolina Hunger Initiative at the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention at UNC-Chapel Hill.
