NPHC Garden Groundbreaking
The NPHC(National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc.) Garden Project kicked off its fundraising campaign on October 29 with a breakfast, program and groundbreaking on what will be the site of the NPHC Garden in the SASB Plaza. More than 100 NPHC alumni and current students showed up for the event organized by Student Affairs and the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life and Community Involvement. Several charter members from the NPHC sororities and fraternities were in attendance and spoke on how excited they were to see the garden finally happening.

Carolina Veterans Resource Center Opens
The Carolina Veterans Resource Center (CRVC) opened recently to serve and support the Carolina student veteran and military-affiliated students. The CRVC will serve as a central location for military-affiliated people to find resources and a community to support and aide them during their journey as Tar Heels. This location contains study space, a lounge, conference/meeting space, and a lactation room. Campus and community partners will be present in this space to bring enhanced services to the military-affiliated student population.

Fall Fest 2017
The 21st annual FallFest celebration provided new and returning Tar Heels will have the opportunity to learn about academic departments, student organizations, and campus recreation opportunities to enhance their Carolina experience.Thousands of students came out to FallFest held which was held at Carmichael Arena and Hooker Fields.

Our Tar Heel Men’s Basketball team is returning to the Final Four for a record 20th time this weekend. After a competitive national search, Gary Alan Miller has been appointed as the Director of University Career Services at UNC Chapel Hill.
