Vice Chancellor Winston Crisp and other members of Carolina’s faculty, staff and Board of Trustees who were the first in their families to graduate from college welcomed fellow firsts to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in a new video entitled First Generation Welcome. Nearly 20 percent of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s students are the first in their families attend college.Carolina Firsts are an integral part of our University, contributing to the great diversity, cultural and intellectual life of our vibrant undergraduate community.
Vice Chancellor Crisp reminded students 'that at the end of of the day, it's all up to you!" Others featured in the First Welcome videos include Chair, UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Trustees Chair Dwight Stone, Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost James W. Dean Jr.and UNC Men's Basketball Coach Roy Williams.
