SUMMARY:Carolina Recovery: Weekly Process Group
DESCRIPTION:Carolina Recovery: Weekly Process Group\n\n\nThis is a mutual-support group facilitated by Student Wellness staff for students in\, seeking\, or curious about recovery. Please reach out here or email recovery@unc.edu if you’re interested in joining or want to ask about other substance use resources! \nOur support group goals are the following: \n\nCommunity support: Helping students foster peer support networks; presenting safe and attainable space for students to be honest with themselves and others about struggles and achievements; prioritizing facilitation over leading the group (students become leading participants); reminding students to look for similarities across seemingly different lived experiences. Focus on diversifying and making recovery spaces as inclusive as possible through an intersectional lens.  \nRecovery capital: Acknowledging students’ skills and strengths; discussing and specifying goals and areas of improvement; planning actionable objectives; and recognizing the value of being where our feet are now. Each month\, we will incorporate skills for managing stress and triggers and clarify student values that may positively impact recovery.  \nEmpowerment: Encouraging students to share their experiences and utilize their agency for recovery\, academics\, interpersonal relationships\, and the other eight dimensions of wellness. Prioritizing strategies to build students’ resiliency through topics and themes they can apply throughout adulthood. \n\n**Please note that this space is exclusively for people in or seeking recovery and is NOT open to observers or for educational purposes.  \n\n\n\n\n From Monday\, April 27\, 2026 5:30 PM\n to 6:30 PM EDT\n at Student Wellness.

SUMMARY:Mindful Meditation by Bhakti Yoga Club of UNC Chapel Hill
DESCRIPTION:Mindful Meditation by Bhakti Yoga Club of UNC Chapel Hill\n\nMindful meditation is a key practice of Bhakti Yoga. Original Yoga practices were made to help one control their thoughts and actions through raising awareness and self-regulation. Yoga from ancient India was originally meant for the mind before it was popularized as a physical activity. The UNC Bhakti Yoga club is working to help students experience these same fulfilling feelings through mindful meditation. \nThe Bhakti Yoga Club is committed to creating a stress-relieving and welcoming environment. Free vegan treats will be provided to session participants. All are welcome! \nThe main session runs from 7-8 P.M. Participants are welcome to stay (from 8-8:30 P.M.) after the main session\, to enjoy some snacks and interact with other participants. \nNotes: \nYou do not need to RSVP to attend! We only use the RSVP headcount as an estimate so we know how much food to bring (+ so we can have extras for everyone). \nYou do not need a yoga mat (this is not physical exercise). You are welcome to stay as long as you like during the sessions. You also do not need to have attended previous sessions to show up to an upcoming one. Feel free to come and see how you feel. \n\n\n\n From Monday\, April 27\, 2026 7:00 PM\n to 8:00 PM EDT\n at Student Union #3407.

SUMMARY:Attention on Campus: A Paid Student Focus Group Study
