SUMMARY:UNC Women's Health Research Symposium
DESCRIPTION:UNC Women’s Health Research Symposium\n\nThe Women’s Health Multidisciplinary Consortium (WHMC)\, in partnership with the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine\, is pleased to announce the inaugural Women’s Health Research Symposium. This first-of-its-kind event will take place on September 17\, 2026\, bringing together researchers\, clinicians\, and trainees from across campus to advance collaboration in women’s health. \nCentered around this year’s theme\, “Collaborate\, Innovate\, & Unite: The Future of Women’s Health Research at UNC”\, the symposium aims to showcase the depth and diversity of women’s health research while fostering new interdisciplinary connections. The event is supported by partners across campus\, including the UNC Center for Women’s Health Research\, the UNC Center for Women’s Mood Disorders\, and the UNC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. \nAbstract submissions are now open\, and organizers invite contributions from graduate-level trainees\, postdoctoral fellows\, medical fellows\, faculty\, and research staff. Submissions may reflect ongoing or completed work and can span a wide range of areas\, including basic science\, clinical research\, translational science\, population health\, and community-engaged research. \nThis symposium will provide a platform for presenters to share their work through poster and oral presentations\, with additional details to be announced on the event information page. \nKey Dates: \n\nAbstract Submission Deadline: June 30\, 2026\nSymposium Date: September 17\, 2026\nRegistration Deadline to Attend: August 1\, 2026\n\nResearchers and trainees interested in contributing to this exciting new initiative are encouraged to submit an abstract and be part of shaping the future of women’s health research at UNC. \nTo submit an abstract\, visit the abstract submission portal.
