A native of North Carolina, Brian Payst received his B.S. in
Biology from UNC Chapel Hill and his M.S. in Environmental Science from Washington
State
University. After leaving WSU, he worked for the Virgina Division of Natural
Heritage in an information management role before moving to Costa Rica where
he worked for an Internet services company. After two years in Costa Rica,
he returned to the U.S. to work for The Nature Conservancy where he managed
new technology services for the organization. Brian happily returned to UNC
Chapel Hill in August of 2003 as Director of Information Technology,
where he now is responsible for technology planning and implementation for the Division. |
