getting help

You are not alone. You are not to blame. You do not deserve to be abused.

  • Remember that violence is not your fault. No one deserves to be hurt.

  • Trust yourself. If you feel that there may be something wrong in your relationship, but you can not identify what it is or do not know what to do about it, call someone for help. Relationship violence is often confusing and hard to cope with; find someone that can help you talk through some of your feelings and can explain your options to you.

  • Reach out for help from friends, family, and professionals who you trust. Talking to somebody can help you sort out your feelings and may make you feel better.

  • Know your rights and options. There are options available to victims of relationship violence, abuse, and harassment. Contact any of the organizations below to find out what those options are.
