John completed his B.A. and M.Ed. at Penn State University where he wrote his masters thesis on "The Relationships of Political Conservatism, Institutional Racism, and Acts of Racism in College and University Residence Halls." His teaching and administrative experience has focused on residential life, diversity and multiculturalism, leadership development, student development and communication skills. In addition to supervising the staff of Carolina Leadership Development, John is responsible for directing the NC Fellows Program, Emerging Leaders Program, FACT and PLC Programs, and the Womentoring Program.
