Each day, students are learning, and teaching others, through their contributions
to the campus and local community. There are many learning opportunities
available to UNC students. To learn more about those opportunities coordinated
by Student Affairs, visit Other Learning Opportunities.
Here are just a few ways that students are recognized and rewarded for
excellence in academics as well as co-curricular activities. We encourage
you to nominate students who are deserving of recognition.

A university's excellence is defined in large part by the quality and
achievements of its student body. At UNC-Chapel Hill, we are proud to
have some of the very brightest students from North Carolina and beyond.
Each year, Carolina recognizes the very best of the best as recipients
of the Chancellor's Awards for Excellence in Academics and Student Activities
and Leadership.
The Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs is pleased to administer the “Travel Fellowship Fund.” The awards are to be made every Spring Semester to two deserving Carolina students with applicable travel plans. The travel fellowship fund is made possible by the very gracious contributions of an anonymous donor who has established a permanent University trust fund for this purpose.
The Edward Kidder Graham Awards recognizes seniors, nominated
by officially recognized student organizations, whose leadership, dedication
and innovation
are exemplary in promoting the goals and ideals of their organization.
The Awards are also presented to professors and teaching assistants
who have made a significant impact on seniors during their undergraduate
study at Carolina. Each April, recipients are recognized at the Edward
Kidder Graham Awards Ceremony, sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs,
the General Alumni
Association and the Senior Class.
