Cierra is leaving her broad mark on campus through her preeminent leadership roles in everything from musical plays to the student activity board. This year, she serves as President of the Carolina Union Activities Board. In her role last year, she helped bring a variety of speakers and lecturers, such as Dr. Terrence Roberts of the Little Rock Nine, to campus that spark discussion and expose students to new experiences.
Cierra also has a flair for the arts as a charismatic actress in several Pauper Players such as Sweet Charity and Glee the Musical. She also serves as secretary for the Pauper Players Executive Board and ventured behind the scenes to produce All Shook Up for the premiere musical theatre company. As Vice President of the HeelRaisers Council she has worked with the Carolina Annual Fund and other student organizations to raise awareness of the importance of private giving through events like Tag Day and Tuition Free Day.
She works endlessly to strive to make Carolina community even better, whether it’s recruiting gifted high school students to ensure Carolina’s future as a Project Uplift Counselor or preserving student self-governance and the student voice through serving as Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff and Student Body President in student government. As Carolina United’s Programming Coordinator she fosters and expands a sense of diversity on campus.
