Derwin Dubose Speaks at 2006 Fall Opening Meeting |
|
The Division of Student Affairs hosts a Fall Opening Meeting as a kickoff for all staff at the beginning of each school year. This annual Staff Development program includes divisional updates, fellowship, fun, and a guest speaker who has a connection with the Division of Student Affairs. The 2006 Fall Opening Meeting, Monday, August 14, 2006, guest speaker was Derwin Dubose, who is a member of the Class of 2006. Dubose, a history major, served the Division through his leadership positions in the Campus Y and as the Co-Chair of the first Student Affairs Student Committee. Dubose now works with the North Carolina Democratic Party in Raleigh, NC.
As a young alum to the University, Dubose provided the audience with an enjoyable and personal account of his experiences at Carolina and with the Division of Student Affairs. Please enjoy Derwin Dubose’s speech at the 2006 Fall Opening meeting, which can be found below.
